KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday filed a charge sheet at the Special Court against three persons, including two government employees, for their alleged involvement in a land transfer fraud. Taking advantage of their similar names and forging documents, Sanu Bhairav Prasad Pudasaini, a resident of Bhadrawas-2, had illegally transferred Bhairav Prasad Pudasaini's land in Nayapati to his name. Then Kharidar Parbati Raman Khanal and then Land Revenue Officer Raj Kishor Mahato at the Chabahil-based Land Revenue Office had apparently helped the suspect get the land ownership certificate in his name. The anti-graft body has sought maximum punishment against the trio as per the Prevention of Corruption Act 2002. Meanwhile, the CIAA filed a separate charge sheet against Kharidar Khanal after finding out that he took away and destroyed official record of another land transfer -- from Bhairav Prasad Pudasaini to Naradevi Pudasaini -- on September 22, 1998.
