Kathmandu, September 8 Lawmakers have stressed on opening new transit points India. Speaking at the Parliament meeting today, Sanjya Kumar Gautam drew the attention of the government towards delay in opening of new transit points with India, even after both sides reached consensus on opening five new transit points. He said the government should open new transit points at Bela, Gulariya and Murtiya and urged Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to take initiatives for the same during his upcoming visit to India. Lawmaker Keshav Badal opined that the government should construct the Kathmandu-Hetauda fast rack with domestic investment. Similarly lawmaker, Surendra Prasad Jaiswal said construction of the Postal Highway and fast track should not be politicised. Lawmakers Dilli Prasad Kafle and Karna Bahadur Thapa warned the prime minister against signing any controversial bilateral treaties with India. Chudamani BK Jangali has criticised the government for failing to reduce price of petroleum products and daily commodities.
