TAAN takes up issues of eco-tourism

Kathmandu, October 7:
Speakers at the swearing-in ceremony of the executive committee of the TAAN (Trekking Agents Association of Nepal) stressed on partnership among tourism entrepreneurs working for eco-tourism for sustainable development of the overall tourism industry. At the programme, the acting secretary of the ministry of culture, tourism and civil aviation, Nagendra Prasad Ghimire said that the government should play a role of a facilitator by simplifying rules and regulations related to the tourism sector in order to help tourism entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the newly-elected chairman of the TAAN, Narendra G C expressed his confidence that entrepreneurs would show their capabilities at a time when tourist arrivals in the country are beginning to look up.
