DAMAULI: As many as 24 people were injured, three of them critically, after two buses collided head-on at Kantar of Byas Municipality in Tanahun on Tuesday afternoon. A bus (Na 5 Kha 7169), heading towards Pokhara from Damauli, collided with another bus (Ga 1 Kha 4209) coming from the opposite direction, police said. Critically injured Asha Ale, Aran Gurung and Tilkumari Ale  were sent to Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital for treatment. As many as 14 persons , who sustained minor wounds, were sent to the Damauli Hospital. Seven others are undergoing treatment at the Ratnagiri Hospital, informed the District Police Office, Tanahun. Police suspected that speeding caused the accident. Drivers of both the buses have been taken in police custody for interrogation.
