LAMJUNG: A septuagenarian has been robbed of nearly Rs 300,000 cash in Lamjung district today.The victim, a former Indian Army soldier, said it was his pension amount. Man Lal Gurung (73), a permanent resident of Ilam Pokhari in eastern Lamjung, was robbed of Rs 293,500 while returning home from Beshishahar, the district headquarters, with the six-month pension amount. 'A pension camp was being held in the district headquarters. I withdrew the amount for upcoming Dashain,' said Gurung, adding, 'I had boarded a bus to Borang Khola. But, I realised the cash had already been robbed only after I got off the bus.'
