2 killed after being swept away by Kapilvastu river

KAPILVASTU: Two persons died after being swept away by the swollen Banganga River in Kapilvastu district on Friday night. The victims have been identified as Bhim Aryal (45) from Madhuwan, Banganga-14 and his sister-in-law Lila GC (59), according to police. The woman's nine-year-old grandson Sushil, however, managed to save himself. The trio were returning to their home after meeting their relatives at Jhanga, Banganga-10 when they were swept away.
