DAMAULI: A minor died after being struck by a bolt of lightning in Jamune of Tanahun district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as 13-year-old Sushil Mishra, son of Ramakanta Mishra in Jamune-9. He died on the spot when the thunderbolt struck him while he was sleeping in his house on Tuesday night, police said. Maya Mishra, mother of the deceased, who was sleeping beside him, sustained injuries. She at first was taken to the Damauli Hospital and was later referred to Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara for further treatment.
