BHAKTAPUR: Relatives of a woman who died after being hit by a motorbike on Thursday have vandalised the Thimi-based Metropolitan Police Circle today, demanding compensation and immediate justice. Saraswati Khadka (45) from Jiri-8 in Dolakha district had lost her life after a motorbike (Ba 80 Pa 5008) hit her last night. Meanwhile, police personnel Krishna Bahadur Tamang and Jayanta Raj Karki were injured being hit by stones from the crowd. Both the injured are being treated at the Madhyapur Hospital. They have also smashed the window of a car belonging to DSP Shyam Babu Oliya. The police office's window was also broken. Property worth Rs150,000 has been damaged during the protest, informed police. Police have arrested five persons involved in the clash. Meanwhile, lawmakers Ananda Prasad Pokharel and Parvat Gurung have taken initiatives to resolve the issue with a talk.
