KATHMANDU, JUNE 16

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, who is on a four-day official visit to China, held talks with Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), in Beijing on Tuesday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed various aspects of Nepal–China relations, including development cooperation, trade, investment, tourism, political exchanges, and people-to-people ties, according to the Nepali Embassy in Beijing.

Foreign Minister Khanal appreciated the CPPCC chairman's commitment to further strengthening long-standing bilateral relations and expressed confidence that Nepal–China friendship and cooperation would grow stronger in the coming days.

Later in the day, Minister Khanal is scheduled to visit the White Pagoda and later give interviews to Chinese media and Reuters. He will also attend an investment conference organized at the Nepali Embassy in Beijing.

Khanal arrived in Beijing on Sunday at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and had earlier held delegation-level talks on Monday. He is scheduled to return home on June 17 after completing his visit.
