Girl child dies of dengue in Chitwan

RATNANAGAR: An eleven-year-old girl died of dengue in Chitwan district on Tuesday. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established. According to Ram Kumar KC, Kit Control Inspector at the District Public Health Office, Chitwan, she breathed her last during the course of treatment. KC shared that 653 persons have been infected with dengue in the district until now this year. Dengue is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. It is transmitted through Aedes type mosquito. The symptoms include high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains, and skin rashes.
