Nepal govt, World Bank officials discuss participation of donor nations

KATHMANDU: Nepal Government and the World Bank officials discussed the possibilities of getting help from the donor nations on Friday. Director of the Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) Govinda Prasad Sharma met Practice Manager- Agriculture for South Asia at the World Bank Martien van Nieuwkoop to discuss the participation of the donor nations in sustainable agricultural development and Prime Minister Agricultural Modernisation Programme. According to a statement issued by the PACT, the meeting also discussed ways to make PACT more productive. Director Sharma informed that the sub-projects under the PACT would be implemented from Monday and would be ready to help implement the programme as soon as possible. The meeting was held between the officials from the Ministry of Livestock and Post-Harvest Programme and Practice Manager- Agriculture for South Asia at the World Bank Martien van Nieuwkoop.
