Nepal win charity football match against Friends of Japan

KATHMANDU: With Nawayug Shrestha's solitary goal, Nepali national football team won charity match against the Friends of Japan at the ANFA Complex in Lalitpur on Saturday. The match was organised to mark the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relation between Nepal and Japan. Shrestha scored the goal in the 57th minute. The event was jointly organised by Colorbath, a Japanese NGO, and the All Nepal Football Association. The Friends of Japan comprised included players who have played in the J League and other leagues around the world. Toda Kazuyuki  had represented Japan in the FIFA World Cup 2002, and also played for English powerhouse Tottenham Hotspur.
