Indian man arrested with illegal ammunition from Birgunj

KATHMANDU: A man has been arrested in possession of various illegal weapons and drugs from Birgunj-10 of Parsa district on Friday. The arrestee has been identified as Mohammad Akhtar (37) of India, currently living in Birgunj-15. Police had arrested him with a pistol, two empty magazines, 18 rounds of bullets, 19 gram brown sugar and 16 Spasmo Proxyvon capsules. Police meanwhile raided his room later and seized a homemade pistol, five rounds of bullets, 14 Nepali and Indian  SIM cards, three identity cards issued from the Indian Election Commission, Indian smart driving licences, two smart billbooks, ATM cards issued from the State Bank of India, NRs 24,040, IRs 9,310 among others. Meanwhile, police are further investigating into the case.
