KATHMANDU: Surya P. Subedi, founding Chairman of the Britain-Nepal Academic Council, has expressed his solidarity and support to the campaign of Prof Dr Govinda KC which he said was designed to depoliticise the management and administration of Nepal's academic sector and promote academic freedom. In a statement issued today, Subedi, Chairman of the Global Policy Forum for Nepal, also called upon the government to fulfil Dr KC’s demands and implement past pacts signed with him. One of the areas of focus of the Global Policy Forum for Nepal in its first global conference held in Kathmandu last year was on the need for depoliticisation of the management and administration of Nepal's academic sector, Subedi recalled. He further said the government should demonstrate its commitment to academic freedom and address without any delay the demands of Prof Dr KC. READ ALSO:
