Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has issued a public advisory warning customers against unauthorized digital platforms falsely claiming to represent BYD Nepal.
In a statement, the company clarified that the website "bydpromotionnepal.com", the Facebook page "BYD Dealler Fans", the Telegram group "BYD Promotion", and any similar names or extensions are not official or authorized channels of BYD Nepal. Cimex said it has no association or affiliation with these entities.
According to the company, such platforms have been found misrepresenting themselves as BYD Nepal and are suspected of misleading customers, potentially for fraudulent purposes. The general public and customers have been strongly advised not to engage in any communication, promotional activity, or financial transactions with these unauthorized platforms.
Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd. urged customers to rely only on its verified and official communication channels for accurate information related to BYD vehicles, offers, services, and campaigns in Nepal.
Stating that customer trust, brand integrity, and consumer safety remain top priorities, the company said it has initiated appropriate legal and regulatory actions against those misusing the BYD brand name. It also requested customers to refer exclusively to Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd.'s official platforms and authorized dealerships for updates and information.
