KATHMANDU: A team of Chinese artists handed over a painting of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to Dahal on Tuesday. The portrait of the two leaders was painted from a photograph taken during the BRICKS BIMSTEC Outreach Summit held at Goa in India recently. The team of Chinese artists reached Baluwatar this morning and handed over the painting to PM Dahal. Receiving the painting, PM Dahal said that he was impressed by the painting. “The relations developed between the people of two countries will take the Nepal-China relations to a new height,” he said, adding, “We welcome your initiative to develop harmonious relations between the people of two countries.” During the meeting, the Chinese team said that they were planning to make a film about Lumbini, the birth place of Gautam Buddha and other historical places of Nepal.
