KATHMANDU: A five-member team is on Wednesday leaving for Hungary to take part in Open Shito-ryu Karate World Cup slated for December 9-11 in Budapest. Karatekas Bijay Lama, Janak Singh Khadka, Mallika Thapa and Anu Adhikari will participate in the event, while Ram Shrestha is the team manager. Lama and Khadka will compete in the men’s 60kg and 70kg weight categories respectively, while Thapa and Adhikari will fight in the women’s 50kg and 55kg events respectively. Nepal National and International Players’ Association President Deepak Bista bade farewell to the team on Tuesday.
