NC, UML leaders hold 'positive discussion'

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday held a meeting with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to discuss contemporary political issues. Deuba had reached the UML Parliamentary Party office in Singhadurbar in a bid to solve the current political stalemate in consensus. Of late, the main opposition CPN-UML has been obstructing the House business demanding that the government withdraw the recently registered Constitution amendment bill from the parliamentary business. Speaking with journalists after the meeting, NC President Deuba said the leaders talked about resolving the recent problem through talks. UML PP Deputy Leader Subas Chandra Nembang, who was also present in the meeting, said the discussion was harmonious and positive. The leaders also discussed giving continuity to such meetings, according to him.
