KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries in a hit-and-run case in Naktajhij, Mithila Municipality-1 of Dhanusha district on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Mukesh Batar (25), rider of the motorcycle (Ja 5 Pa 597), and the injured as pillion rider Raman Thakur (22) of Chhireshwarnath-3 in the district. Batar had breathed his last during treatment in India. Meanwhile, Thakur is being treated at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital. They were hit by an unidentified jeep at around 9 pm yesterday, said police. The Mahendranagar-based Area Police Office is searching for the vehicle and its driver for further investigation.
