Chitwan, March 8 Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel expressed concern about the prolonged crisis facing the country and urged political stakeholders to work together to resolve it. Speaking at a programme in Bharatpur today, Paudel argued that political partiesâ failure to release the nation from present crisis will raise questions on their capability. âThough the election date has been fixed, a lot of things are yet to be done to set the stage. In the present scenario, it seems the environment for polls just wonât be until the Madhes problem is resolved,â he said, adding, âTherefore, itâs imperative for all political parties to resolve the crisis together, at least for the sake of the trust the public have put on them.â Reminding the audience about the obligatory constitutional provision that stipulates that polls to all three levels have to be held by February next year, he pointed out the possibility of the country plunging into political crisis. He described the prevailing crisis as an offshoot of the major political partiesâ decision to write the constitution without taking the United Democratic Madhesi Front on board and said this wouldnât bode well for the country and its future.
