Secondary Education Exams begin today

Bhaktapur, March 15 Secondary Education Examinations, which replaced the School Leaving Certificate, is beginning from today. Office of the Controller of Examinations said preparations for the examinations were over with question papers and answer-sheets already dispatched to districts. Dilli Ram Luitel, deputy controller of examinations, said SEE being held under Secondary Education Council would use the grading system to evaluate students’ performance.  According to him, 1,923 exam centres have been set up throughout the country. A total of 535,182 students will participate in the examinations with the highest 35,510 students appearing in the exams from Kathmandu Valley. Manang has lowest 62 students appearing in the secondary education exams. 'One exam centre each has been set up in Manang and Mustang districts,' said Luitel. Over 400,000 students are appearing in the exams from the regular category. 'After the amendment to the Education Act, Grade I to X has come under secondary education,' he said. READ ALSO:
