Two held after 126 kg hashish found in truck in Chitwan

CHITWAN: Police have taken two persons in custody after recovering 126 kilogram of hashish from a truck in Narayangadh of Chitwan on Wednesday. Those detained are truck driver Majar Musur of Birganj and one Ajaya Kumar Raya who was travelling on the truck, police said. The truck had come from Kathmandu via Dhading. After intercepting the truck at Lions Chok, police found 253 packets of hashish, each weighing 500 gram, concealed in the heavy vehicle, according to Superintendent of Police Deepak Thapa. Preliminary investigation revealed that Musur was paid Rs 50,000 for the consignment.
