Kathmandu, July 6 Ability Development Society of Nepal (ADSoN) is organising the third edition of the charity golf tournament, We Are All Able, here at the Gokarna Golf Club on Saturday. Around 50 golfers — including women and junior players — will take part in the tournament which will be played under stableford 3/4 handicap format. “The Tournament has been one of the prominent fundraising activities of ADSoN since its establishment in 2014. We raised more than Rs 1.2 million in the previous two editions to support the Disabled New Life Centre based at Thali, Kathmandu, a home for 40 children with physical disability,” said ADSoN in a release. “The fund was utilised to conduct various programmes that supported the Persons with Disabilities.” “ADSoN intends to serve the PWDs, through different organisations or individuals directly, by providing them opportunities for their treatment, education, vocational training and comprehensive rehabilitation into their respective societies. From the funds raised by organising various events, including golf tournament, ADSoN has been supporting different organisations and students with all types of disabilities living in different parts of the country,” the release added. “Over the period of last 12 months, ADSoN extended financial support of more than Rs 5.6 million for the welfare of over 30 schools and organisations working in the field of disability.”
