10 injured, three critical in Tanahun bus accident

DAMAULI: As many as 10 persons including driver were injured when the bus they were travelling on met with an accident in Gunadi, Myagde Rural Municipality-2 of Tanahun district on Sunday. All of the injured were rushed to the Damauli-based Ratna Hari Hospital for the treatment, among them three persons are said to be critical. The trio  identified as Aarati Nepali (38), Chitra Kumar Shrestha (38)  and Priya Thapa (19), of Myagde-2,  were later referred to Pokhara for intensive treatment. The incident occurred when the bus (Na 5 kha 5446), en route to Damauli of the district from Pokhara, Kaski, skidded and fell some 10 metres off the road, said assistant bus driver Surendra Pariyar, who was also injured in the accident. The roads was slippery so the brake did not work properly causing the accident, Pariyar added. Police are investigating into the case.
