Child safely rescued on fifth day of abduction from Kandaghari

KATHMANDU: A five-year-old child who was abducted on Thursday has been safely rescued from Kandaghari of Kageshwori-Manahara Municipality-7 in Kathmandu district on Monday. Bishal Chaudhary was successfully rescued from Kandaghari of the district by a team jointly deployed from the Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division (MCID) and District Police Office today, informed Superintendent Prakash Jung Karki at the MCID. Earlier, Chaudhary, an Upper Kindergarten (UKG) grader of Pakanajol-based Saraswati Boarding Higher Secondary School, was allegedly abducted on his way to home from school. According to SP Karki, the police team arrested a person in a connection to the abduction. However, futher details on the case will be made public only after the team return from the site, he added.
