KATHMANDU: Prime’s four teams as well as Saipal’s two teams advanced to the women’s category quarter-finals of the NeBA President 3X3 National Level Open Basketball Tournament here at the National Sports Council covered hall on Saturday. Prime ‘A’ will face Prime ‘C’, while Tribhuvan Army Club will take on Rato Bangala in the quarter-final matches. Similarly, Saipal ‘B’ will play against Saipal ‘A’ and Prime ‘D’ will play against Prime ‘B’. In the men’s category, Golden Gate ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ as well as TAC’s ‘A’ and ‘B’, Bhanimandal ‘A’, NeBA U-16 ‘B’, Times, Golfutar, Nayabazar ‘A’, Himalayan Hands ‘A’ and ‘B’, South Siders ‘A’ and ‘B’ and BMK advanced to the last 16. A total of 60 teams, including 48 in men’s and 12 in women’s sections, are competing in the competition. Meanwhile, Nepal Basketball Association President Lama Tendi Sherpa inaugurated the tournament.
