KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party withdrew its support to the government on Tuesday, alleging that the government played a role in splitting the party. However, despite RPP’s decision the government will continue to have majority in the Parliament. In a party meeting on Tuesday, RPP leaders accused the government of failing to address Madhes issues, not running the government effectively and indulging in corruption. RPP Co-spokesperson Mohan Shrestha claimed that the newly formed Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic did not have the support of 40 per cent central working committee members to split the party. According to Shrestha, seven of the 72 CWC members, whose signatures RPP-D claimed it had, have already returned to the RPP, while two had expressed opinions against the split. READ ALSO:
