Rautahat, August 16 Distribution of relief materials to flood victims has started in different places of Ruatahat from today. According to District Administration Office, Rautahat, the relief materials were taken in tractors and jeeps among other means of transport where the roads were good while they were taken by helicopters to the affected areas if the roads were damaged by floods. Rautahat Chief District Officer Uddav Bahadur Thapa said that Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and the Nepali Army were deployed in flood affected areas. He claimed that relief materials were distributed smoothly without any problems. CDO Thapa informed that among 13 rural municipalities in Rautahat, all wards of Durga Bhagawati, Madhav Narayan, Ishanath, Rajpur, Paroha, Baudimai, Gadhimai, Dewahi, Gonahi, Katahariya, Gujara and Gaur and Garuda municipalities were badly affected by the floods. “The office has been distributing the relief materials among flood victims without any irregularities,” he said. Thapa said that as many as 22,000 tents were distributed in the affected rural municipalities in the presence of rural municipality staffers and security personnel.
