KATHMANDU: Political parties have started submitting closed list of candidates for proportional representation system under upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.

Spokesperson of the Election Commission, Nawaraj Dhakal, said that the Rastriya Yatharthabadi Party-Nepal today submitted the closed list of 11 candidates for proportional representation category under the election to House of Representatives at Proportional Election Unit at central office of the EC at 10:00 am.

The party is the first one submitting the closed list.

According to EC, the parties are required to submit closed list of candidates for 110 members under House of Representatives and 220 members for State Assemblies from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm today as per the schedule.
