Indian pairs win doubles titles

Lalitpur, November 8 Indian pair of Anargha Ganguly and Leston Vaz won the boys’ doubles title of the Kesha ANLTA Asian U-14 Tennis Championship Circuit-II here at the Satdobato Tennis Complex courts today. In the final match, Ganguly and Vaz beat Nepali duo of Nisan Shrestha and Aaditya Subedi 5-7, 6-4 (10-4). Ganguly and Vaz also advanced to boys’ singles final. In the semi-final matches, Ganguly thrashed his teammate Sivasamy Ramalingam Nathin Ram 6-0, 6-1 and Vaz saw off Aaditya Subedi of Nepal 7-5, 6-1. In girls’ doubles final, Indian pair of Vaishnavi Adkar and Harsshali Mandavkar defeated Abhilasha Bista of Nepal and Ilina Jha of India 6-3, 6-4. Meanwhile, Adkar defeated her teammate Mandavkar 6-0, 6-3 to reach girls’ singles final. Bista entered the singles semis after beating fellow Nepali player Sneha Yadav 6-1, 6-1.
