• PM is in continuous consultation with security agencies

Kathmandu, November 13 Nepali Congress’s Central Election Campaign Coordinator Balkrishna Khand said Prime Minister Sher Bhadur Deuba did not have any difficulty in handling the Ministry of Home Affairs by himself even though the first phase election was very close. “Giving high priority to the security arrangement, the PM is keeping MoHA with himself” he said.  At a press conference organised today at the party’s headquarters in Sanepa, he said PM Deuba is in continuous consultation with security personnel. Khand’s statement came out after some media reports stated that it was hard for the PM to arrange time for security briefings. “The PM consults security personnel wherever he goes for campaigning,” Khand said. He also said security forces would not allow security lapses in any part of the country. “The security threat is coming from political forces that have not accepted the new constitution,” he said. Khand also informed the party had deployed its central working committee members to all 32 districts from today. “They have been instructed to plan and implement policy formulated by the party leadership for elections,” he said.  He also informed that the CWC members were instructed to coordinate the local programme with the central programme and launch additional programmes such as voter education as needed. Khand also informed the party president and Prime Minister Sher Bhadur Deuba would begin his election campaign from tomorrow with a party programme in  Nepalgunj. “After that he will spend some days in his constituency Dadeldhura as well as other districts in the far-western region.
