CHITWAN, JULY 28

The Narayanghat–Muglin road section has been blocked after a dry landslide occurred near Muglin on Tuesday morning.

The landslide struck at around 8:30 am near a public toilet in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5, obstructing traffic along the busy highway section. Vehicles traveling along this road section have been stranded in the middle of the road due to the landslide.

Chief of the Chitwan District Traffic Police Office, Police Inspector Anil Thapa, said efforts were underway to clear the debris and reopen the road.

Police have stated that they are currently coordinating with the Department of Roads and preparing to clear the debris. It is estimated that it will take at least 2 hours to remove the landslide and restore smooth traffic along the route.

Passengers and drivers heading to their destinations are requested to remain patient and plan their travel accordingly.
