POKHARA: A person died on the spot and 35 others sustained injuries after a bus they were traveling on met with an accident in Kushma Municipality-14 of Parbat district on Friday. Police identified the deceased as 35-year-old Deepak Gurung of Matepani in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City-12. A bus (Dha 1 Kha 87) heading to Kusma from Panchase in Parbat district skidded off and fell about 100 metres below the road killing a passenger and injuring others at Bhanjyang, at around 4:30 pm today. As many as 14 injured passengers are said to be in critical condition. Most of the injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Kaski district. Panchase is a famous pilgrim site where devotees assemble to spray corn seeds on Bala Chaturdashi, which fell on Friday this year.
