Tension grips Banepa after tipper hits motorbike

Kavre, November 17 Banepa Bazar turned tensed after a man sustained critical injuries when a tipper hit his motorbike in Banepa, Kavrepalanchowk, today. Bishal Tamang, 34, of Dhulikhel Municipality-7, was critically injured in the accident. He is receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital. As per an eye-witness, the driver was dragging the injured Tamang after he fell on the roadside after the accident. The security personnel had to use force to take the situation under control after the locals smashed the tipper and obstructed vehicular movement along the Arniko Highway. In-charge of Area Police Office, Banepa, Inspector Sunil Jung Sah said they had to use force to resume vehicular movement after the angry locals clashed with security personnel. They took four locals under control and some persons from both sides sustained minor injuries during the clash. Police have held the driver and impounded the tipper.
