RATNANAGAR: Former Finance minister and CPN-UML candidate from Chitwan constituency 1, Surendra Pandey on Thursday claimed that a left government is essential to protect the country.

Addressing an election gathering in the constituency in Chitwan district yesterday, UML leader Pandey said that only a government of the left forces can develop the country.

Also member of the CPN-UML standing committee, leader Pandey said the next government to be formed will be a left government, which will lead the country towards development and prosperity.

'The unity among the left forces is for safeguarding the nation,' he added.
