TANAHUN: A person died after he fell off the tractor he was travelling on in Bhimad Municipality-2 of Tanahun district on Wednesday evening, police said. The deceased has been identified as Santabir Thapa (45), of Bhimad Municipality-2 in the district. According to police, the incident occurred when Thapa suddenly fell of the moving tractor (Ga 1 Ta 835) in Rate Pahad at 6:15 pm yesterday, injuring Thapa. Thapa was rushed to the Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital; however, he succumbed to his injuries at 9:15 pm the same night, informed police. Meanwhile, police have impounded the tractor and detained its driver for further investigation, said District Police Office, Tanahun.
