Indian Minister Swaraj calls on Prez Bhandari, PM Deuba

KATHMANDU: Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj paid a courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari today afternoon at the Office of the President in Shital Niwas in Kathmandu as part of her two-day official visit to Nepal. Minister Swaraj congratulated the President on the success of the recently held elections in Nepal. During the meet, exhange of views took place on various topics related to advancing the multi-dimensional relationship between the two countries. Foreign affairs expert at the President’s Office Dr Madan Kumar Bhattarai, Secretary at the President’s Office Bhupendra Prasad Paudel, Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shankar Das Bairagi, along with other members of the Indian delegation were present at the meeting. Likewise, after meeting the President, Minister Swaraj met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and offered him congratulations on the political progress of the country. The discussions between the two leaders mainly focused on enhancing the bilateral cooperation between Nepal and India to take the age-old and historical partnership forward. READ ALSO:
