Nepalgunj, February 24 Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital has started providing MRI and CT scan services to patients. This has given a huge relief to the people of western part of the country who had to reach Kathmandu or cities in India to avail those services. The medical college started MRI and CT scan services considering the increasing number of patients seeking such services and also to upgrade the health service provided by the hospital so far. The medical college established some two decades ago has won the faith of the people of the region and with installation of MRI and CT scan machines at the hospital, many patients will not have to travel a long distance seeking such services and it will also reduce the financial burden of patients. Managing Director Dr Suresh Kumar Kanodiya at the hospital said the hospital had spent Rs 16 crore to buy MRI and CT scan machines. “Installation of modern equipment at the hospital will save time and money of patients as they won’t have to visit Kathmandu or Indian cities for quality health services,” he informed. Dr Kanodiya added that they were able to provide all types of health services and treatment at the hospital.
