APF, NDA set final date

Kushma, March 7 Nepal APF Club and Shivam New Diamond Academy advanced to the final of the second Didibahini Cup National Women’s Volleyball Tournament here today. In the semi-final matches, APF defeated Tribhuvan Army Club in straight sets, while NDA outplayed Nepal Police Club in 3-1 sets. APF beat TAC 25-9, 25-21, 25-21 to make it to the final. Similarly, NDA took first set 25-18 but NPC bounced back to win the second set 25-21. However, NDA claimed next two sets 25-21 and 25-19 to win the match. Earlier, NPC defeated hosts Didibahini 25-7, 25-1, 25-8 to advance to the semi-finals as Group B runners-up, while TAC saw off Western 25-17, 25-21, 25-20 and finished as Group A runners-up. The final and third place matches will be played on Thursday. The top three teams will get Rs 100,000, Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively, while the best player will receive Rs 10,000. A total of six teams are competing in the event being organised by Radio Didibahini of Parbat.
