KATHMANDU: Shankar Dev Campus and Cosmos College recorded victories in the University Cricket Cup here at the TU Stadium on Sunday. Shankar Dev saw off Uniglobe by 65 runs and Cosmos defeated Nepal Commerce Campus by five runs. In the day’s first match, Shankar Dev were bowled out for 137 runs in 19.4 overs but they restricted Uniglobe to 72-8. Shankar Dev’s Prem Tamang scored 35-ball 41 with the help of four boundaries and two sixes. In another match, Cosmos posted 170-8 before rain interrupted the match when Nepal Commerce Campus were 54-2 in 6.1 overs. As no further play was possible, Cosmos won by five runs under DL method.
