KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Rajan Bhattarai has stated that homework was begun on setting agenda for the imminent visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to India.
Speaking during an interaction programme in Kathmandu on Wednesday, leader Bhattarai informed that PM's visit to India would focus on strengthening of diplomatic relations and boosting economic activities between the two countries.
'Instead of raising many issues, we're concentrated on infrastructure development. So, issues relating to hydropower, agriculture and air connectivity would be discussed,' he added.
Former Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Min Bahadur Shrestha, suggested that PM Oli prioritised the foreign investment, as the country has entered political stability.
Time has come for the left alliance to address the commitment it made before the people during elections, he underscored. Similarly, former Vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission, Shankar Sharma, said issues relating to investment should be focused during PM's India visit.
He also suggested the government to augment capital expenditure, because without capital spending creation of jobs was impossible.
