NA squad defuses IED in Sindhuli

SINDHULIMADHI: A squad from Nepal Army has defused an improvised explosive device (IED) found in Kamalamai Municipality-6 of Sindhuli district today. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Binod Sharma at Sindhuli District Police Office, the team deployed from Nepal Army defused the pressure cooker bomb at 8:30 am. Police suspected that the bomb discovered on the road in Dhurabazaar, at around 3:00 am today, was placed by the cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal. Security personnel including Nepal Police, Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Army had prohibited the general public from strolling along the area since early morning until the bomb was defused. Meanwhile, police have carried on with the investigation into the incident.
