Muktinath, May 10 High security alert has been maintained in Mustang in view of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to offer puja at Muktinath temple Indian Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Muktinath temple on Saturday. The local administration has put in place a special security plan to make Modi’s visit safe and systematic. Meanwhile, a team of Indian security personnel had also carried out onsite visit of Muktinath area in this connection. Chief District Officer Shishir Raj Poudel said, ‘Security has been tightened in the district. Security screening along all 15 check points of the district has also been intensified.” A meeting of District Security Committee took the decision to prohibit people’s movement to Muktinath temple premises for 20 hours from 4:00pm on Friday till noon on Saturday. Top level officials of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepali Army have reached Muktinath to check the security arrangements in view of the Indian prime minister’s visit. Five helipads have been constructed on the Muktinath Temple premises for landing the helicopter carrying PM Modi and his delegation. After performing special worship at Muktinath temple, the Indian prime minister is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on Saturday.
