2 Indian nationals held with controlled pharmaceutical drugs

KATHMANDU: A police team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) apprehended two Indian nationals in possession of large cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Balkhu area in KMC-14 recently. NCB identified the arrestees as 33-year-old Jitendra Kumar and 32-year-old Sanoj Kumar of Raxaul in East Champaran Motihari district in Bihar state of India. Police discovered controlled pharmaceutical drugs -- Nurofen, Diazepam and Phenergan 500 ampoules each -- hidden inside a vehicle with Indian registration number (BR 05 PA 7031) from a roadside in Balku area on Tuesday. Meanwhile, an investigation into the case is underway, police said.
