BIRATNAGAR: A parliamentary party meeting of NCP in Province 1 on Thursday has decided to seek clarification from lawmaker Lila Ballav Adhikari after he advocated in favour of Sub-Inspector Bal Krishna Sanjel, one of the prime accused in the infamous gold smuggling and Sanam Shakya murder case. According to NCP Province 1 parliamentary party leader and Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai, lawmaker Adhikari spoke on behalf of the accused as his lawyer despite him being a parliamentarian and other lawmakers raising an objection over it. However, lawmaker Adhikari remained absent in today’s meeting.
