President, Prime Minster extend Eid al-Fitr greetings

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended best wishes to all Nepali Muslim sisters and brothers at home and abroad for their happiness, peace and good health on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

In a message delivered today, President Bhandari expressed her confidence that the grand festival of Islamic people would help promote mutual harmony, tolerance, togetherness and fraternity among all Nepalis and preserve fundamental cultures and traditions of the nation.

'Eid al-Fitr has special significance as it follows a long fasting during the month of Ramadan meant for purifying the soul, and is celebrated by exchanging happiness with relatives. May this festival inspire all to fulfil the national resolution towards building a prosperous nation,' reads the message.

Likewise, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has also extended his greetings to all Nepali Muslim citizens.
