Dhangadi, June 27 The house obstruction initiated by opposition forces owing to their dissatisfaction with the budget in the province ended today. The house meeting resumed after the ruling and the opposition forces reached understanding on reviewing the budget headings that were problematic. Speaking at the special hour of the House, opposition lawmaker Bharat Bahadur Khadka said they had forged an agreement with the government on reviewing the budget properly in a responsible manner. The ruling parties also agreed to give necessary space to ensure the respectable participation of opposition lawmakers in budget discussions. Speaking at the special hour, Social Development Minister Dirgha Bahadur Sodari said that the government could not move ahead fruitfully by ignoring the opposition. He also clarified that the government could not derail the constitutional process. Minister Sodari stressed that the government was focused on making the lawmakers’ development fund transparent. Discussion on the budget session will resume from tomorrow. Earlier, the discussions had continued for three days but got stuck for two days due to obstruction from the opposition Nepali Congress and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal.
