DoHM issues alert in Saptari, Sunsari as flooded Saptakoshi River crosses warning level

KATHMANDU: The Flood Forecasting Section of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology today has issued alert messages to people residing near Koshi River banks in the districts of Sunsari and Saptari. According to the section, the flood levels in the Saptakoshi River and its tributaries near Chatara (Station Number 695) have crossed the warning level and remained near danger level since 7:40 am today. Hence, the residents have been advised to stay alert and take precautions until tonight. Meanwhile, the water level has remained steady in the Saptakoshi River while the flood in Arun River at Simle have reached Danger level, the DoHM River Watch data showed. READ ALSO:
