Cops glue reflective stickers in tractors to curb accidents

LAMJUNG: The District Traffic Police Office, Lamjung under its campaign to curb road accidents has started sticking reflective stickers in tractors. The stickers were affixed in the rear side of the automobiles to avert accidents during night as carriers affixed to the tractors do not have rear lights, according to police. “We have initiated a weekly traffic awareness program,” Chief of Lamjung Traffic Police Nir Bahadur Adhikari said, “On the first day we glued stickers in 40 tractors and briefed 60 drivers on road safety.” We will carry out different events for a week under the campaign to raise traffic awareness in the reason, he added. Traffic Police have appealed the public to affix reflective stickers in their vehicles. “These stickers play a crucial role in bringing down the number of accidents,” Constable Achyut Bista said.
