POKHARA: The swollen Kali Gandaki and Raghu Ganga rivers have damaged infrastructures in Ghyasi Kharka and Kharibot, Raghu Ganga Rural Municipality of Myagdi district. According to Chief District Officer Liladhar Adhikari, the rivers ravaged a school and an under construction health centre in the region and pose additional threats. However, no human casualties are reported. Moreover, vehicular movement along Beni-Jomsom road section halted following flash floods in the area. A team of personnel from Nepali Army and Armed Police Force are working to reopen the obstructed route, CDO Adhikari informed. Likewise, local administration in Beni has issued flood warnings asking the residents living near the embankment to keep alert after the flood destroyed 100-metre-stretch of a retaining wall.
